Dangerous Rat Poison Products Still Sold Over The Counter

The following products are all being sold over the counter, approved for use by the U.S. EPA. These include first generation anticoagulants such as diphacinone and chlorophacinone (linked to secondary poisoning of and health impacts to wildlife), and nerve toxins such as bromethalin. While bromethalin has not yet been linked to secondary poisoning as far as we know, it has killed many species of wildlife that ingested the bait directly. It is also very dangerous for dogs, as there is no known antidote for this poison.  These products are just a few of the hundreds of dangerous rat poisons available for consumer purchase. They products will remain on the market unless and until EPA moves to cancel their registration. We’ve added the known side effects of their active ingredients.
